TERMS OF USE
Terms for using this website.
General information only
Website content is general information, not legal advice. Immigration laws, policies, programs, forms, fees and procedures can change without notice. Content may not be current, complete or applicable to your circumstances. Do not act or refrain from acting on it without advice based on the complete facts and current law.
Relationship with the Firm
Visiting the website, submitting a form, sending an email, receiving an automated response or making a booking does not by itself retain the Firm or require it to act. A consultation, once provided, may be a limited-scope legal service governed by the booking and consultation terms; it does not retain the Firm for an application, proceeding, deadline or ongoing work. Ongoing representation begins only after conflict and suitability checks, agreement on scope and fees, and acceptance of a separate written retainer. Prospective-client information is handled under the Privacy Policy and applicable professional obligations.
Deadlines, status and urgent matters
Do not rely on a submission, upload, booking request or automated response to preserve a deadline, maintain immigration status, start a review or appeal, or commence a court proceeding. Refusals, restoration, expiry, procedural fairness, appeals and Federal Court matters can be time-sensitive. Seek advice promptly and use any official or emergency process appropriate to your circumstances.
Inquiry, assessment, consultation and retainer
An initial inquiry helps the Firm understand the type of matter and identify a possible next step. A preliminary review or detailed assessment is a fact-gathering process, not a legal opinion, eligibility determination or promise that the Firm will accept the matter. A consultation is limited to the booked service and information reasonably available at the time. Ongoing representation requires a separate written retainer. You must provide information accurate to the best of your knowledge, correct material errors promptly and submit only material you are authorized to share. The Firm may request more information, recommend a consultation, decline or limit an inquiry, or close an inactive inquiry.
Availability, disclaimers and liability
The website is provided on an “as available” basis. Reasonable care is taken in preparing content, but the Firm does not promise that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure or complete, or that content will remain current. No outcome, processing time or government decision is guaranteed. To the extent permitted by law, the Firm is not liable for loss arising solely from reliance on general website content, inability to access the website, an external service, or information submitted before the Firm agrees to provide the relevant service. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits duties arising from a consultation or established lawyer-client relationship.
External services and links
The website may use or link to government resources and third-party services for hosting, form processing, scheduling, payments and related functions. Links are provided for convenience and do not make the Firm responsible for an external service’s content, availability, security, accuracy or privacy practices. The external service’s own terms and policies apply. Personal information is handled as described in the Firm’s Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the website, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with its operation, impersonate another person, submit unlawful or malicious material, probe security, or use automated means in a way that burdens or disrupts the service. The Firm may restrict access or reject submissions where reasonably necessary to protect the website, the Firm or others.
Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the Firm owns or is licensed to use the website’s text, design, graphics, logos and original content. You may view, save or print a reasonable copy for personal, non-commercial information purposes. You may not republish, sell, modify or use the content to create a competing resource without written permission. Government and third-party materials remain subject to their own rights and terms.

Governing law and changes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario. Subject to any mandatory rule, disputes relating to the website or these Terms will be determined by Ontario courts. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply, and failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. The Firm may update these Terms as the website, services or legal requirements change. The effective date identifies the current version; an update will not retroactively alter an already booked consultation or accepted retainer.
